A wedding from three angles

It’s the first Friday of Fiction. Here is it. I wrote this as part of an assignment from my writer’s group. The brief was “a wedding from three different points of view”. Come back here on Monday for the first official addition of Moaning Monday. Have a great weekend.

He watched as his bride walked down the aisle in her white sequined dress. His eyes welled up in happiness and shame. The organ player kept her eyes affixed to the keys, trying not to remember the last week of her life. She locked eyes with him briefly and looked away quickly.

The bride walked by her parents. Tears in their eyes. As she took her final couple of steps towards the altar, she tried to decide whether or not to tell him now or later what she saw in the staff room on that cold November evening.”

This piece is exactly 100 words. I wrote it originally in longhand, so there was no way I knew. Madness.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
