Giggles.

I will not go on about how tough things have been for me lately. I am not going to whine, whinge or even moan. Why? Well, because things are alright at the moment. I have been in a pretty good mood lately. Welcome to Monday, by the way. Let’s not moan for once.

I have been working at this job for a few months now. It has been, for the most part, a great experience, and I feel lucky to be working in a job that I enjoy. It comes with its challenges, sure. I know all too well at this stage in my life that not everything goes smoothly all the time (in fact, it rarely does). That’s life, as they say. I haven’t had this kind of job stability in a few years. I am grateful every day. I was listening to James Corden on a podcast recently, and he talked about something that we probably have all heard celebrities talk about, which is how he sometimes feels like he didn’t stop and smell the roses when he was hosting his talk show in America as much as he could have. After a few months in this job, I feel like I am in a place where I have found my groove, and I can get on with other things outside of work, i.e. my creative endeavors.

This leads me to the title of the blog today. I know myself better than I know anyone or anything else. I spend a lot of time with myself. One thing I know about myself is when I am in a good mood. For me, it’s not simply my mind declaring, “We are in a good mood today!” For me, I know I am in a good mood when I find myself giggling at things. I don’t mean inappropriately or simply during boring conversation. Recently, I have found myself giggling/laughing out loud when watching comedy. Like many of us, I am sure, I don’t tend to out and out bellow with laughter when watching comedy at home. I still enjoy it, just not out loud. However, when I am in a good mood like I am these days, I find myself chuckling to myself when the comedy is good. It’s a nice feeling being in a good mood, isn’t it?

I hope you are in a good mood these days too. I hope you have seen something recently that made you chuckle. That’s all from me today. Thank you for reading and thank you for your time.
