Hello. It’s Christmas time. Did you know that? I am finally able to enjoy the Christmas period starting today. This is going to be a bit of a life update and the like. It’s something I do on occasion on my Friday blog. I don’t have anything else to share with you creatively at the moment. I hope that changes very soon and on the regular going into the new year.

So, what has your buddy Fin been up to? Well, just yesterday I submitted the last assignment as part of my course. If I haven’t mentioned already, I have been doing a course in Special Needs Assisting since September and it’s finally over. I hope to get some sort of employment out of it in the new year as I am running very low on funds this Christmas period. I haven’t shunned away from the fact that this year has been quite tough. I have also mentioned that I have plans to post an entire year retrospective on the first Monday of the new year. I just realized that is in three Monday’s time. Time flies when you are knuckled down doing assignments.

Now that I can take back some structure into my day, I hope to stay consistent with these blogs between now and then. I promise I will do my darnedest to post this blog on time. I don’t want to get complacent because that hasn’t served me well this year (something I will most likely bring up during the retrospective).

So, what else has been happening? Well, don’t tell anyone but I haven’t bought my Christmas presents yet. What a dude thing to do, right? I going to buy at least one today. That’s the plan anyway. I hope most of you are not like me and have at least started.

I have goals for the new year or at least ideas for goals. Gaining more structure in my day is one of them and I hope that the rest of my goals will follow suit. I have two other social media accounts that have been lying dormant. One is for my poetry and the other is for my voiceover work. In the new year, I hope to make something of them. Also, side note, I downloaded Threads last night as it is now available in Ireland. I haven’t a clue what to expect but I will keep you abreast about my experience with it. I also am somewhat ashamed to say I have a TikTok that I hope to use to post some of my poetry.

Do you see that? Lots of ideas for this new year. Some are vague and some are not so vague (in my mind anyway). I am not going to say that common phrase when it comes to the new year but given that this year has been an uphill battle from day zero, maybe the universe owes me one. I don’t want to sound entitled. I hope everyone has the best year ever next year.
