Ode to my car.
I have a job again. We know this. I talked about it the last time I wrote a blog. While I am re-adjusting to this lifestyle, please forgive these haphazard blogs. I have the first week under my belt now. Life will settle down again shortly. Welcome to Friday. Unfortunately, there is some bad news.
My car, Gary, looks to be on his last legs. I think we will have to part ways. Gary has been good to me the past few years and I will miss him terribly. While this isn’t entirely confirmed, I have begun the grieving process. He was my first car and that’s a car you’ll never forget. I will never forget him. With that said, I would like to share an ode I wrote to him that I don’t think I have shared on the blog before. See you at the end.
Ode to Gary
You came into my life when I least expected it.
I came home from driving your competition.
And there you were.
You were and still are
Grey with black tyres
I am assuming that’s the norm
Like every other automobile out there
I don’t care how you look
You have four wheels
And an engine
That’s good enough for me
You don’t need to change yourself
When you are around me
As long as you’re happy
I am too
Not that you can change yourself
I can help you with that
What are friends for?
If not for listening to each other’s internal engines?

Thanks for everything, Gary. Thank you for reading. I'll see you on Monday for some moaning, probably. Thank you for your time.
