Poetry’s not dead.

Okay. So, there was no blog on Monday. Honestly, not having blogs on bank holidays is not intentional. I don’t want you to think I am sitting there on a bank holiday Monday thinking:

“These tens of readers will have to live with no blog today. Fin doesn’t do bank holidays.” That’s not the case. Partially, no blog on Monday was because my laptop was up to its old tricks. I won’t complain today. It’s not Monday. Speaking of, I will reveal all on Monday about the past couple of days I spent on a TV show set and how fun (and tiring) it was. So, you have that to look forward to.

On Fridays, I do one of two things: I share something I like or something I wrote. I won’t do the latter because I wrote something I liked yesterday that shouldn’t be on the internet for free. That, my friends, is how cocky I feel about it. I have been putting in the work, though. It’s such a novel concept that your writing gets better the more you write, am I right?

I want to share something in its infancy, but I like what they do. Leon Dunne and Ryan Duggins. Two Dublin-based poets (and talented performers) have recently started a podcast called The Poetry’s Dead Podcast. I like what they are doing and think they should get more eyes on them. I have high hopes for them and the podcast. Listen to their first couple of episodes when you get a chance. That’s all I have for you today. Celebrate poetry. It’s great. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
