A couple of things

I only have two things to talk about today. One of them is very positive. The other is not so much so. Hello and welcome to Friday Fiction, where I talk about everything going on in my pursuit of this whole writing game thing. I sometimes share short fiction pieces but don’t have any to share. I do, however, have some news.

I submitted a poem to Dark Thirty Poetry Publishing early in the week on a whim. They are putting together an anthology of pieces inspired by women. I have many poems about women because I’m a big fan. I sent them a poem called Beautiful Creatures, and I am delighted and shocked to say they will include it in the anthology.

When will it be out? No idea. I will let you know when I know. Thank you, Adam, from Dark Thirty Poetry. I hope this is the first of many to be included. I have submitted to several places and have yet to hear back. Let’s hope the success continues. If not, I’ll give up on writing and become a dancer. That’s a joke. I don’t dance.

I know it’s not Monday. I don’t want to moan. The thing that is bothering me is totally in my control, however. Long story short, I have been procrastinating all morning to do some work, and now it is not the morning. I got sucked into watching all of Ed Sheeran’s new documentary series on Disney Plus, which is great. Then, Pepper was overprotective of the house and started barking at anything that moved and wanted me to help her. I think that’s what she wanted. She’s a dog, you see. Then, a few necessary household chores had to be done. It’s been quite a morning. Life would be easier if I woke up early and did the work. Anyway, I digress.

I am going to see Tim Key live tonight. I am excited. I don’t know what to expect. Last night, I attended another poetry event at the wonderful Redbooks in Wexford town. It’s always a lovely vibe there. I have more things coming up. I may be spreading myself too thin again. I know I will not wait for the levee to break. It may just happen.

That’s all the moaning out of the way. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I will see you back on Monday. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
