No presh.
At the time of writing, I will most likely be on the way home from Dublin after spending the day with Fred there. That’s nice, right? I like it when I have something to talk about on the blog. This is why I am stepping away for a while. Welcome to Monday. Let’s talk about the future of the blog.
I have known for a few days that I would make this announcement and have gone back and forth ever since. I must have stood my ground and said goodbye if you read these words. This isn’t goodbye forever; it is just goodbye for now, which could mean just a few weeks or months. There are a couple of reasons why.
The title of this blog comes from something I say in my personal life: “no presh”, meaning “no pressure”. I have found that I haven’t been balancing my time well and haven’t figured out a nice system that guarantees I publish the two blogs I need to every week. Instead of stressing myself out and delivering mediocre content, stepping back and living a little is best.
This brings me to the following reason that I have been wrestling with. I have been living in a bit of a blur as of late. Back when I started, I made a list of blog ideas on my phone and would usually follow up with them soon thereafter on the blog. The ideas are still there, but I haven’t been giving myself enough to sift through them and find the things I want to discuss. I want to have more life experience and see the things that genuinely impact me and are worth discussing.
Lastly, one thing that has been bothering me more than anything is my tech setup. Now that I have a job, I only use my laptop to write this blog. There are some issues with my software that I am not addressing, and that is leading to stress and anxiety. When I return, one thing is sure: my tech problems are sorted.
All this to say that I may or may not come back sooner rather than later. I don’t know at this point. All I know is that I don’t want the pressure of delivering this blog weekly while I focus on other things.
That’s all from me. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
