Nothing to say

I was doing my Duolingo lesson this morning. Since that time three years ago (you know what I am talking about), I decided to take the time to brush up on my Spanish. I studied it in school, which is well over ten years ago altogether. Anyway, the app was incredibly slow, and it made me uneasy. I got through it eventually. There is no real point to this story. It isn’t Monday, so I will not moan about it. Its Friday.

I have no fiction for you today. Furthermore, I won’t be going to my writers’ group for a few weeks, so there isn’t anything to share. Sucks for you. It doesn’t so much suck for me. I am working on things in the background. I just can’t openly discuss them here. I am finishing up a poem I hope to submit to a competition. It’s the most I have worked on a single poem in quite some time, if not ever.

The poetry collection has been halted slightly. Life has just been a bit unpredictable these days. I won’t say I have been too busy, and I just had other things I prioritised. I hope to have some semblance of a structured day soon. Today is not one of those days. I have a busy couple of days ahead of me. Starting tomorrow, I will travel to Dublin four days in a row for different things. I am looking forward to it. My wallet isn’t, but that’s his problem.

I can tell you one thing I did recently that took a big weight off my shoulders. I did a quarterly preview in my planner. That helped get my head clear a bunch. It was hanging over my head for a few days. I use the Full Focus Planner (not a sponsor) and find it helpful. I don’t utilize it nearly as much as I should, but that goes back to the planning and organizing I still want to do. The days are ticking by. It’s the middle of April. It feels like only yesterday I was celebrating New Year’s.

I won’t bore you anymore with all the nothingness I have for you today. I am going to a poetry night this evening and looking forward to it. It’ll rack up the first of a lot of mileage over the next few days. I am having a wonderful time.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. I hope the weather holds up. Keep doing what you’re doing. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
